Research process

How a mandate moves from a first conversation to tracking after you invest.

01

Understand your mandate

We start by understanding where the money comes from, who's involved, and how much liquidity you need. That defines the decision we're actually solving.

02

Define the research scope

We narrow broad interest into a specific list of funds and deals to research, across venture capital, private equity, private credit and co-investment options.

03

Check the fund manager

We check the fund manager's track record, team stability, portfolio strategy and governance, from the investor's point of view, not the fundraiser's.

04

Compare the shortlist

We compare the shortlisted funds side by side on fit, risk, fees and portfolio role, so the differences are clear before you decide.

05

Before you commit

Before you invest, we list what's unanswered, what your committee needs to approve, and what has to happen to complete the deal.

06

Monitor after you invest

After you commit, we track capital calls, valuation changes, manager updates and any older AIF (Alternative Investment Fund) positions, so you know whether the original plan still holds.
